Literary Tea Towel - Charles Dickens
Charles John Huffam Dickens (1812 - 1870) was an English writer and social critic. He created some of the world's best-known fictional characters and is regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era. This quotation is taken from Dicken's novela "Doctor Marigold" which examines critical social issues which were much debated in Victorian England namely adoption and the place of the disabled in the public eye.
